No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
What a beautiful statement and promise. We are not victims but conquerors. We are not hated but loved. And nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate us from the love of God. Furthermore, because he loves us, he is working all things for our good (verse 28). Thus, we can be certain that there is purpose in our pain and suffering, that there is redemption in our trials and tribulations.
Thank you Father, for giving us your Son who has paid the price for our sins—setting us free to love you. Help us to journey on in our faith in confidence of your unfailing and unmitigated love that conquers all obstacles and opposition that await us. Amen.
